Each season’s Fashion Week allows us to see what’s on the horizon for the months ahead, to get excited for new trends to make your own, and of course, to prepare your shopping lists accordingly. The runways are a beautiful whirlwind of fresh new colors, patterns, and materials, so it’s all too easy to get caught in the moment. With a tornado of looks attacking our senses come Fashion Month, it’s no wonder keeping track of the must-have trends can seem like a full-time job in and of itself. And while we often can’t keep track of EVERY trend on the runways, there is one category of trends that seems to never be forgotten by the ladies – the shoes.
Footwear plays a major role in our daily look and luckily, luxury footwear line Carolinna Espinosa (www.carolinnaespinosa.com) is here to help incorporating all of the must-own shoe trends as easy (AND comfortable – thanks to the brand’s signature memory foam cushioning within each shoe) as can be with this round-up of 4 must-have shoe trends hot off the runways to put at the top of your shopping list come spring 2015.
From power pumps with ankle straps to color-blocked sandals, Carolinna Espinosa’s Spring 2015 collection has all the makings of a spring-ready
wardrobe.
The Power Pump with a Twist: Ankle Straps & Sling Backs
While the high stiletto comes to mind when thinking of a powerful pump, this spring sees a twist on the classic pump emerge with ankle straps and sling backs for an ultra feminine look. Ankle straps add a bold element to any shoe, as seen in the black Shonda style pictured below, adding a sultry and daring edge to an otherwise classic heel. Meanwhile, the sling back heel adds old-world glamour for an extra feminine appeal, as seen in the Cooper and Marble pumps below – both elegant and timeless. That deliciously modern twist can be found in the use of color-blocking and bright aqua hues, respectively fitting of the season.

Seasonal Color Blocking
We usually color block according to the season’s palette, but the vibrant hues associated with the warmer months can often be a bit much for everyday wear. That’s why we have our fun incorporating these bold contrasts into our footwear. If you’re prepping for a chic garden party or formal affair, the Perna style pictured below, can be your color-blocked weapon of choice. Bold reds, lilacs and yellows combine to bring out a perfect summer pedicure making these heels a go-to for any fancy affairs. If you’re looking for a more subdued way to color block, then stick to the always-on-trend black and white as seen in the Carnarsie sandals pictured below, or more muted colors like in the Logic, for a perfect daytime look.

Let’s Talk Metallic
The tried and true metallic trend has been a recurring one in our lives for the past year and thankfully, it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. For spring 2015, we’re seeing it across the board in every style of shoe. The Starks sandal (far left) is full-on metallic with an eclectic honeycomb laser cut, while the Royal flat on the right, shows off the same hue atop an intricately laser cut floral pattern that magnificently hits the mark of the season. Lastly, the centered Cole style gives just enough detailing to transform an otherwise ladylike shoe; the black pointed toe and hint of metallic accenting is sure to make you elegant enough for days at the office, yet edgy enough to engage in those lively rooftop happy hours.

The New Staple: Gladiator Heels
What’s a spring or summer season without gladiator sandals? As the trend for shorts gets shorter, the trend for sandals gets taller – and who can argue with a great pair of gladiator heels? Bold gladiator heels have become the “ankle boot” of the summer months and styles like the Sari and Premium (pictured below) make it easier than ever to incorporate this trend into any look. Throw either pair on with boyfriend jeans and a t-shirt or a glam cocktail dress and your look instantly goes from “nice” to “wow.” Now, how easy is that?
