Shoes of Prey, an Australian retailer, announces phase two of its “Design Your Own Shoes” studios launch in partnership with leading fashion specialty retailer, Nordstrom. The partnership marks the brand’s first foray into the U.S. market bringing the unique virtual design experience to a physical shop-in-shop concept. Beginning this spring, five additional studios will open in Nordstrom locations throughout the U.S. including San Francisco, CA; Newport Beach, CA; Paramus, NJ; Washington D.C.; Chicago, IL. An existing studio in Bellevue, WA opened in November 2014.

We’re excited to bring a solution for women who can’t find shoes with the exact the heel height, toe shape, material or size that they’re seeking.”
In celebration of the launch, Nordstrom hosted a series of events, influencer appearances and shoe design contests. The Shoes of Prey design studios is located within the Nordstrom shoe department and will bring the creativity of shoesofprey.com to life for the customer, allowing women to design their perfect shoe. The exclusive studios feature a towering installation of colorful shoes and a lavishly decorated statement wall exhibiting the variety of shoe styles available to the customer.
iPads featuring the 3-D online shoe designer allow customers to create their own shoes in-store selecting the style, colors, materials, heel height and embellishments. Customers can mix and match
from over 170 materials including premium snakeskin, fish skin, silk, suede, a variety of leathers including vegan materials. A range of fits and sizes from 21⁄2 – 15 including half sizes pattern adjustments are also available. Every pair of shoes is made to order and customers may pick up their shoes at Nordstrom or have them directly shipped to their home in four weeks or less.
