Luxury vintage fashion line, Morphew, held a private launch party on October 8, 2014 in NYC for fashion insiders, giving guests an exclusive preview of what’s to come from the grandeur fashion brand that is now available online at www.morphewconcept.com.
As guests made their way into Morphew’s Public Relations company’s NYC loft, a mannequin styled in a vintage sheer sequin gown, topped with an authentic French Rockstar’s, custom leather jacket gave just a tiny glimpse of the superb vintage experience they were about to encounter.
The room was filled with iconic looks from every decade of fashion from the 1800s to the 1990s, highlighting four distinct styles from fashion history. Upon entering, the first category guests were introduced to was a collection of artistic, contemporary pieces with a bit of edge, majorly compromised of black and white garments. The other three categories were luxe bohemian, chic classic pieces reminiscent of the 50s-60s era, and couture glam. Some of the designers showcased at Morphew’s launch event included Yohji Yamamoto, Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld and Hervé Léger, among many others.
Throughout the evening, models changed into different looks to give guests an even closer and more personal look at how Morphew truly shares the genius of fashion past and morphs it into the future greatness. An installation of mannequins were also displayed in the center of the room, featuring three of Morphew’s most luxurious pieces by Versace, Dior and McQueen for Givenchy.
All models and mannequins were styled and curated by the Morphew team and accessorized with Egyptian inspired jewelry line, Eye of Ja.
Guests enjoyed complimentary champagne throughout the night and left with Morphew tote bags filled with a vintage clothing article from the Morphew collection and a piece Eye of Ja jewelry.
