Anderson Paak, Zhu , The Free Nationals top the 2018 Lighting in a Bottle Festival…
The central coast comes to life each year as Lighting In the Bottle (LIB), which takes place May 23 thru May 28 at beautiful San Antonio Lake in Bradley California, continues to ink itself as one of the Nations fun, entertainment, arts and crafts boutique music festival that pushes the boundaries of what’s been done to create a unique festive environment that is more community based then commercial and where music fans and families from young and old come together to grow and learn from the overall experience that goes beyond the music. From all counts of past years which have seen sold-out shows, the people come for the experience just as much as the music and the experience leads to the memories that have been forged through many activities including; yoga healing circles, sing along campsites, a variety of different cultural attractions, powerful guest speakers, healing food-focused workshops, live painting artists, environmentally conscience teachings and recycling, group neditation and drum circles, water sports, beautiful and impressive art installations, hiking and sightseeing and of course camping with strangers that become friends is a rewarding feeling.
For 20 year’s the message that has been portrayed by Do Lab’s co-founder and music director, Jesse Fleming,
“We do it to be inspired, to help inspire others, and because it’s the only thing we really know how to do.”
This year’s 2018 edition seems to keep on this spiritual musical mission of enlightening and bringing people together through music and with a lush packed eclectic lineup of live acts and superstar DJ’s it looks like it is off to a great start featuring; Anderson. Paak, The Free Nationals, Fever Rey, Modeselektor, Griz, Tipper, Glitch Mob, Zhu, Sofi Tukker, Beats Antique and many more performing on multiple themed out stages throughout the festival. One of the best things about LIB is the location which sits on San Antonio Lake recreational area and is a beautiful part of nature that coupled with the magical experience that the LIB organizers have planned, seems to be the perfect match of heaven and music.
