Emo Nite Reminds Los Angeles, “Every Nite is Emo Nite” With Massive Two-Year Anniversary Celebration
LA’s monthly Emo Nite event has announced details for their upcoming two-year anniversary celebration! The event will take place on Tuesday, December 6th at The Echoplex and The Echo along with both outdoor patios. There will be a mystery lineup of guest DJs alongside a full band and acoustic performances with huge surprises you won’t want to miss.
Fans can purchase tickets for this party here! Act now, as this will sell out. You may recall last year’s 1-year event featuring Chris Carraba of Dashboard Confessional, Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, Jack Barakat of All Time Low, Mikey Way of My Chemical Romance, We Are The In Crowd, Sugarcult, FIDLAR, Seahaven, Have Mercy and more.
The year has gone by fast and been very busy for the founders. Heralded by LA Times, Forbes, LA Weekly, Time Out LA, Billboard and more, Emo Nite is a monthly event that brings together people who share the love of emo rock music from the 90’s, 2000’s, and today. It’s an excuse to rock out and drink the night away with your best friends and make some new ones while singing along to the greatest songs of your teenage years.
In addition to their monthly LA event, the Emo Nite fam recently held events in Seattle, San Francisco and San Diego, and have additional parties planned in Denver, Phoenix, Atlanta and Portland for later this fall. Each month, a different musician from the scene guest DJs at the event – previous DJs have been Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low, Jason Butler of letlive., Bryce Avery of The Rocket Summer, Anthony Raneri of Bayside, The Wonder Years, Craig Owens of Chiodos, Jesse Mack Johnson of Motion City Soundtrack, Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail and more! There have additionally been acoustic performances from Good Charlotte, Chris Conley of Saves the Day, The Used, The Movielife, The Spill Canvas and more!
While the three founders of Emo Nite originally set out to simply create a small get together of like-minded music lovers, the event has formed into more than just an extremely energetic party – Emo Nite is a community. From branded merchandise, to collaborations with large scale clothing brands such as OBEY Clothing to the upcoming run of events around the country and working closely with local live shows, what used to be a monthly event expanded to something of a phenomenon.
What started as a nostalgic trip back to the era of myspace and skinny jeans soon became much more than that – it started a movement. It reminded everyone that there was something special and timeless about that moment in rock music called “emo.” Something that was lacking in today’s musical landscape – a community, and a safe place to be yourself. No matter who that is.
