SAN FRANCISCO – ArtPoint, a group of young professionals that supports the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, celebrated the opening of Modernism from the National Gallery of Art: The Robert and Jane Meyerhoff Collection on Saturday, June 7 at the de Young Museum in San Francisco with a spectacular gala. Over 700 young professionals were in attendance for an evening of “Mad Men” inspired merriment. Ticket sales proceeds support exhibitions and programs at the de Young and the Legion of Honor.
The Summer Cocktail Soirée offered a lively evening of after-hours viewings, 1960s-style appetizers and cocktails, a live performance by the Roger Glenn Jazz Combo, featuring Bay Area legend Roger Glenn on vibraphone, and dance music by DJ Kirill.
VIP guests were treated to a performance by violinist Gabi Holzwarth, guided tours of the exhibition, and special access to an exclusive VIP lounge offering a wide variety of appetizers, cocktails and desserts.
The ArtPoint Board of Directors was thrilled to host members and guests at the de Young for this memorable event, honoring an outstanding compilation of post-war American artwork.
