San Francisco (June 4, 2014) – ArtPoint, a group of young professionals that support the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, will celebrate the opening of modernism from the national Gallery of Art: The Robert and Jane Meyerhaff Collection on Saturday, June 7 at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. All proceeds from tickets sales for this event support exhibitions and programs at the de Young and Legion of Honor.
The exclusive “Mad Men” themed gala will offer a lively evening of after-hours viewings, 1960-style appetizers and cocktails, a live performance by Roger Glenn Jazz Combo, featuring Bay Area legend Roger Glenn an vibraphone, and dance music by DJ Kirill.
VIP guests will be treated to a performance by violinist Gabi Holzwarth, guided tours of the exhibition, and special access to an exlusive VIP lounge offering a wide variety of appetizers, cocktails and desserts.
Gala chairs Ryan Hoffman, Joshua Horowitz, Vadim Nebuchin and Amanda Riley are thrilled to be hosting ArtPoint members and guests at the de Young for this memorable event, and look forward to honoring this truly outstanding compilation of post-wr American artwork.
