On April 24th, San Francisco-based fashion startup Remake debuted their film Made In Cambodia, to a packed auditorium at the SF California College of the Arts campus. Directed by Oscar-nominated Asad Faruqi, the short film follows three graduating Parson students to Cambodia where they get a first-hand look into the fashion production process and meet the makers who bring their designs to life.
In addition to the film, there was a panel discussion, Q&A, and keynote speaker Paul Dillinger (Levi Strauss and Company). Led by John Bauernfeind, a CCA Chair, and Associate Fashion Design Professor, the panel included Eleanor Amari (Content Manager, Remake), Ruby Veridiano (Writer & Fashion Correspondent), and Rachel Faller (Designer, tonlé).
