“For my Fall 2017 collection, I was inspired by the beehive sand formations in the Valley of Fire State Park. The grooves and windswept designs create beautiful layers that helped to inspire this collection’s powerful silhouettes and strong expressive shapes. The deep clay-colored valley translated to a rich, golden color palette with textures like open weaves and luxe copper velvets. For outerwear, I also found inspiration in the lines and layers of minimalist sculptor Richard Serra’s “The Hedgehog and the Fox,” a permanent installation at Princeton University. The collection is elegant and bold, and modern for our customer.” – Christian Siriano
