On January 30th, 2017 during Copenhagen Fashion Week, we will be releasing our second collection and collaboration called Re.Imagine X Future Designers, through a pop-up selling event and exhibition at Pop-Up Copenhagen Teglgårdsstræde 7A+B DK-1452 Copenhagen C.
Re. Imagine was established in the summer of 2016. We are a new Danish label creatively based around fighting the world’s waste issues through design and modern fashion. The designers and project coordinators behind the brand are Michelle Bjerregaard Jensen and Brittany Malvino. The brand’s philosophy is based around handmade products, that are one of a kind with a streetwear vibe. All designs are sustainable and use the method of redesign, to turn discarded clothing into new interesting designs.
The development of Re.Imagine was created through a Re.Imagine X Red Cross partnership, to support our interests of textile reduction and sustainable fashion. Through this partnership, we make use of their unsellable clothing, by turning it into new innovative designs, which are sold to raise money for their organization.
The collaboration helps support the Red Cross, as well as minimize the waste issue associated with the fashion industry.
Through the continuation of this partnership, we have created our second collection and collaboration called Re.Imagine X Future Designers. For our next collection and event, we have collaborated with 11 new design talents (Emilie Hjarsø, Ragna Fiona Rabea, Cathrine Juel Høegh, Maria Bilkiewicz, Sandra Sofie Mazur Petersen, Louise Lindvig Thelander, Frederikke Mütze, Thelma Björk Steinmann, Felipe Coelho, Linda Katkevica, Grete Astover) to showcase the possibilities of upcycling and to raise money for the Red Cross.
The event will showcase each individual and their designs, highlighting the possibilities of sustainability in fashion. We want to create an event where all is welcome to help raise money for the Red Cross and celebrate new talents within the fashion industry.
Photography has been created by Simon Zarlang and makeup has been created by Bella Poulsen. Modeling has been sponsored by DivaModels. At the event, we will have music provided by DJ Olgyn.
The event has been created to raise money for the Red Cross through the selling of denim, jersey, and leather products all through the sustainable process of redesign. Pop colors will be implemented with a mix of winter vibes.
