San Francisco State Apparel Design & Merchandising Students Present Runway 2014: Provoke.
San Francisco, CA – March 21, 2014. What provokes your creativity? Make a date for a night of fashion presented by the city’s best future designers, as the Apparel Design & Merchandising students of San Francisco State University showcase their work at Runway 2014: Provoke. This premier fashion event provides a prodigious place to provoke a passion for fashion in everyone.
The Apparel Design & Merchandising undergraduates at San Francisco State University are proud to announce their twentieth annual student fashion show, Runway 2014: Provoke. Amaury Perez, show Co-Director and Co-President of the event sponsor, the Fashion Network Association (FNA), enthusiastically states, “Provoke is an appropriate title as we seniors seek to do just that. Staying true to our department’s commitment to sustainability, we are the change that the industry needs in terms of social responsibility and aide our industry shift towards more conscientious actions.”
Runway 2014:Provoke takes place Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Galleria in the San Francisco Design Center, 101 Henry Adams Street, doors open at 6:30pm and the show beings at 7:00pm. This production is more than just a fashion show; Provoke 2014 is a sneak peek to the future of fashion. New and upcoming designers, with the help of merchandisers, will showcase their pieces, exemplifying fashion with a purpose. Senior Apparel Design students will be repurposing promotional banners while junior level students do the same with donated clothing from the San Francisco State bookstore. Come and view a great way to up-cycle excess products into wearable apparel in our over-consuming fashion industry.
