Unique Fair Trade Crafts Reflecting the Collections, Exhibitions, and Programs of the de Young Museum
San Francisco, June 2012— Shop a world of art at the second annual Fair Trade Bazaar at the de Young, showcasing fair trade products from around the globe. Presented by the de Young Museum Store, the two-day event features 16 traders, six of whom are new to the event this year. Representing cultures from Central and Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Americas, the Bazaar will offer for sale to the public unique fair trade crafts reflecting the permanent collection of the de Young Museum. This perse assortment of items includes jewelry, textiles, native handcrafts, and decorative accessories. The Fair Trade Bazaar takes place on Friday, August 3, from 9:30 am–8:30 pm and Saturday, August 4, from 9:30 am–4:30 pm in the de Young’s Piazzoni Murals Room. Admission to the event is free. Museum members receive a 10% discount on all purchases.
